Free Fall

This series began with the investigation of the field of emergence; how individual action compounds to create group movement. While watching a murmuration of starlings the emergent patterns of swirling movement are transfixing as thousands of birds trace their path as a ground from sky to ground.

The beauty of this movements comes only in observing these interations of form and intention. These pieces look to explore this relationship, their forms casting a curving path through space that suspends the twishing and compounding patter as they glide in a free fall.
